There are an awful lot of folks who venture into Internet Marketing because they imagine it will allow them to spend their days slacking, playing games, watching tv, shopping, whatever and that they only have to do an hour or so of work every day to keep it up. You have to already recognize that, naturally, this is not the way things get done. Thinking “Yuck, work sucks” that is not going to help you make any money. Here are a few tricks to give you a hand.

1. See it like a typical career because that is what it is: a career. They assume okay, Im gonna do just a little work but Im still going to have fun. Allowing a television or radio to play in the background as ambient noise is one thing. Parking yourself before it is another. Find a desk and do the job there. This makes it possible to separate your doing work time from your goofing off time. Yes, this can be going to possibly feel a lot like the job you just left but thats okay.

2. One of the best things about IM is that you don’t have to work the exact same hours that everybody else works. At the same time, it is vital that you set aside some hours every day to do your work. If your most successful working hours happen later in the day, set your evenings aside for doing work.

3. Employ a good mind-set. This most likely seems trite but it is true: keeping positive and telling yourself “I can do this” is usually what helps you succeed and achieve the goals you have set for yourself. It is not all that different than the way telemarketers are told to actually smile while they are talking because people will be able to “hear” the smile. When you think “I’m good at what I do,” “I can get this done” and “I will meet all of my goals today” that approach will infuse your work, customers will pick up on it and then they will think the same things about you. If you set out with “okay money, find me” as your approach you will not make anything although if you say “okay money, I’m coming for you” you’ll make quite a lot.
